Día de los Muertos Celebration | Colorado Symphony

Día de los Muertos Celebration invites families to celebrate and learn about the Mexican holiday Día de los Muertos through a festive multicultural concert filled with music, storytelling, and color. The program explores the traditions of remembering and honoring loved ones through narrated storytelling and vocal performances, featuring music from The Nightmare Before Christmas, The Addams Family, Coco, Márquez’s Danzón No. 2, and other selections.

The family-friendly program also includes HalfNotes, beginning at 1:00 PM, with an outdoor art exhibit, hands-on crafts, marigold and papel picado activities, La Catrina and El Catrín decorations, and introductory dance lessons for all ages. The concert itself is designed for families with young children and runs approximately 45–60 minutes, including intermission.
